We are delighted to present Animagination, a festival dedicated to animation, illustration and books!

FRIDAY 10th May

EARLY YEARS: Adventures in Storyland   10:30am & 11:30am (duration 40 mins)
Illustration workshop for toddlers and preschoolers (and their grown-ups!) with artist Marta Golubowska

SCHOOLS’ EVENT: Pádraig Kenny Reading – 11am
Pádraig Kenny introduces his new book, POG. Learn about the inspiration behind the book, Pádraig’s journey to becoming a writer, and hear Pádraig read a snippet of his story.

SATURDAY 11th May

WORKSHOP Creative Writing with Fighting Words  (Free, booking essential!)
You are invited to Fighting Words to write an original story together.
10.30 – 12.30pm Fighting Words workshop  7-9 year olds
1pm – 3pm Fighting Words workshop  10-12 year olds

WORKSHOP: Storytelling & Puppetry with Collapsing Horse (10:30am. Duration 90 minutes)
Come and join Dan Colley, Artistic Director of acclaimed theatre company Collapsing Horse, for a fun, intergenerational storytelling and puppetry workshop. This is the first grandparent and grandchild (9-13 years) workshop we have hosted!

FAMILY CINEMA: The Big Bad Fox and other Tales (1pm)
From the creators of the Academy Award-nominated Ernest and Celestine, and voiced by some of Britain’s finest acting talent, The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales is a collection of hilarious and heart-warming adventures for the whole family.

FAMILY CINEMA: How to Train Your Dragon – The Hidden World  (3pm)
From DreamWorks Animation comes a surprising tale about growing up, finding the courage to face the unknown… and how nothing can ever train you to let go.
