Newbridge Drama Group present four One-Act Plays – We Three by Olwen Wymark, Jimmy Shoe by Derek Egan, The Zoo Story by Edward Albee and Mary Lambert RIP by Siobhán Wright.

We Three: A one act play written by Olwen Wymark
Two women arrive for a rendez-vous but the third person they are expecting doesn’t appear. Instead a girl that they don’t know arrives, but she knows them. Who is she? Who are they? All is finally revealed.

Jimmy Shoe: A one act play written by Derek Egan
Two women from very different backgrounds meet and become friends over their market stalls. They are both trying to make ends meet in difficult times by selling whatever they can to whoever they can. They learn about each other’s lives with sympathy and laughter and the oddball customers who arrive just add to their fun.

The Zoo Story: Edward Albee
Written by playwright Edward Albee in 1958, The Zoo Story is a classic American play.
Exploring themes such as isolation and loneliness, this play is as relevant in the current Covid times, as ever it was. The play is directed by Mary Linehan and features William Mc Grath and Caoimhín O’ Muirgheasa

Mary Lambert RIP written by Siobhán Wright 
The play opens with Mary on her deathbed. As Mary interacts with her family we learn more about Mary and of her inner emotions that drove her to make her life choices and of the consequences.
