The Creative Well Visiting Artist Lecture Series: Monday 12th October
The Creative Well Visiting Artist Lecture Series
Monday 12th October 7pm – 8pm
Riverbank Arts Centre: Conference Room
Artist: Pat Curran
Pat Curran is a recent MA graduate in painting from the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin. He is an early school leaver from a working class background, who found his way back into the formal education system in early middle age. Through painting, he has found a voice that is both deeply personal and grounded in life experience. His work is autobiographical is a sense that it documents a time in Ireland that he grew up in during the 1960’s and 1970’s. It is also meaningful and of particular relevance in today’s times where he creates representations that take into account the wider areas of social justice and cultural expression.
