PopUpArt Newbridge in Foyer

We are delighted to welcome PopUpArt Newbridge and have 20 local artists exhibiting in our foyer from 12th -30th July. You can see the full list of participating artists, their artworks and a price list here.  One of the artists will be on hand each day during our opening hours – Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm –  to tell you more about the artworks.

The PopUpArt  Newbridge initiative is the brainchild of Eilis Kavanagh, a Newbridge-based Landscape Artist, who, in 2018, identified the need and provided an exhibition space for the wealth of talented Kildare Artists to enable them to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Since 2018, the PopUpArt Newbridge exhibitions have become part of the Kildare Fine Art Landscape, with three exhibitions scheduled each year in the historic Newbridge Town Hall. However with the onset of Covid 19, these exhibitions were put on hold.

Not to be defeated by Covid, Eilis set up a Virtual online gallery to run in tandem with the recent June Fest.

Building  on the success of the Virtual Gallery PopUpArt Newbridge were delighted to have been invited to exhibit at Riverbank Arts Centre.  Eilis has facilitated and curated the work of 20 amazing Local Artists for this exhibition who are each showing two pieces of their work.
