Open Call for Cover Illustrator

Riverbank Arts Centre invites graphic artists and illustrators to submit a cover proposal for our Spring 2023 brochure.  

Each season Riverbank Arts Centre publishes a programme of events and activities taking place. This was stopped during the Covid pandemic in 2020, and resumed for our Autumn 2022 brochure. Since 2009, we have commissioned artists to illustrate the programme cover; turning the programme into a piece of art delivered to our patrons across the country.  

Previous cover illustrators include Brian Coldrick, Peter Donnelly, Sadie Cramer, Fintan Taite, Shona Shirley MacDonald, Holly Pereira, Dermot Flynn, Anne Marie Morrin, Grainne Bath Enright, Marta Barcikowska and Brian Fitzgerald.   

When:
We are accepting submissions until 5pm, Wednesday 16th November.   

The Details:
We’re not expecting artists to work on any design etc. prior to selection. Instead we’re looking for your artist biog and samples of previous work.  

Please submit the above on ONE pdf document, along with any website/social media links to: marketing@riverbank.ie  

Selected artist will be contacted with full proposal and contract information by Friday 18th November (the illustration will be required within three weeks of this date).  

The selected artist will be asked to provide a design which is eye-catching for children and adults, and reflect the multidisciplinary nature of the venue.  

The selected artist will be paid a commissioning fee of €500.
