Animagination Festival presents: Storybook Workshop with illustrator Sarah Whelan.

This workshop is a first stop shop for budding illustrators and writers who are looking to make their stories come to life. Making a Storyboard is the initial stage of cartoon or movie planning. Much like when making a storybook, you must first plan out what is going to happen in your story and have an idea of what this will look like. In this illustration and design workshop Illustrator, Sarah Whelan, will give participants an introduction to designing characters as well as a brief introduction to storyboards. Participants will design a character and tell a story considering the composition, image sequence and visual language. Once the workshop is complete you take your storyboard home and who knows maybe one day you’ll see your idea on the big screen!
