Making Waves is an immersive multi-sensory dance theatre performance designed specifically for children & young people aged 8 to 13 years with mild to complex needs. This magical sea voyage sets sail in search of hidden treasure and along the way encounters rolling waves, sparkling fish and swooping gulls. Designed to be inclusive, audience members are seated in pods representing boats on stage, enabling everyone to become part of the adventure. The specially designed boats are suitable for wheelchair users.

A magical sea voyage in which the audience and performers set sail in search of hidden treasure. Join the adventure and be transported by the ebb and flow of the ocean through gentle soothing currents and on into the dynamic rhythmic beat of crashing waves.

Meet the school of fluorescent fish and see the swooping gulls. Let the wind fill your sails and carry you along accompanied by a sensitively evocative sound score written by composer Stefan French.

The audience is greeted by the performers in the theatre foyer, invited into the performance space and guided to their seats in the boats. These pods are suitable for wheelchair users.

School shows include an in-school workshop the same week as the show.

This show will take place on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 March at 10:15am & 12:15pm each day.
