Join visual artist Martina McDonald for an evening of mark making. In the workshop you will be encouraged to create a mess with art materials!

The practice of mark making is simple, fun and often calming. Martina will guide you through a range of ways to create different marks and textures on paper. These elements can then be collaged together, or simply just created for the fun of it. Zero experience necessary, curiosity is encouraged.

Participants are reminded that this is a messy workshop! Please wear suitable clothing/apron.

About the artist
Martina is a visual artist based in Clane, Co. Kildare. Having graduated with a BA Hons Degree from NCAD Fine Art Sculpture in 2009, Martina has been in the creative realm for over 13 years. She has exhibited artwork both nationally and internationally.

Martina creates tactile, mixed media works that draw the viewer in with colour, layering and a sense of playfulness. Created through an intuitive, mark making process, Martina’s work is inspired by themes of human connection. For more information about the artist, visit www.martinamcdonald.com
