Commission Award for Fizz&Chips

Riverbank Arts Centre is delighted to announce that we have commissioned Fizz&Chips to create Never Mind The Weather (working title), with the support of a commission award by The Arts Council.  Never Mind The Weather is an outdoor performance for schools on the themes of adaptivity and resilience. This new theatre work will be performed as an in-progress showing through the classroom windows of primary schools in Kildare in January 2021.

“For this project we plan on creating a versatile and adaptable piece of physical theatre, to be performed outdoors for primary school students. We are delighted to be working with Riverbank Arts Centre on this production, and extremely grateful for the support of the Arts Council in creating this exciting new work.” Founder members of Fizz&Chips  Orlaith Ní Chearra and Martha Fitzgerald

“Riverbank Arts Centre and Fizz&Chips Theatre have a strong partnership, having supported ‘An Lasairéan’, their bilingual show for young audiences in August 2019. We are delighted to have been awarded the funding to commission this ambitious project, and we are looking forward to working with Fizz&Chips again and presenting this work in schools throughout Kildare.”  Alex Rosiak, Acting Venue Director

We look forward to telling you more about this exciting new work soon!
