Autumn 2025 Brochure Out Now!

Our newest brochure is now available from the Box Office – check it out and see what’s coming up this season at Riverbank.

Our CINEMA season kicked off with Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme. Also up this season is French romantic comedy Jane Austen Wrecked My Life (22 September), The Last Journey (20 October), Irish horror Fréwaka (3 November), the 25th Anniversary screening Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (24 November) and the 1964 Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life (22 December). For families we have music fantasy film Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (30 October), a stop-motion animation about cultural respect Savages (22 November) and a different rendition of a Charles Dickens classic – The Muppet Christmas Carol (20 December).

Culture Night 2025 takes place on Friday 19 September with an evening of free events. Sinéad Reid starts off the evening at 4pm with her show Blue Skies. Take part in a Fighting Words Workshop As Gaeilge at 5pm. Recipient of the Emerging Visual Artist Bursary Award 2024 from Riverbank and Kildare County Council Arts Service Fiyin Oluokun hosts a drop-in (no need to book!) Gallery Tour of Family Trees hang over Property Lines at 6pm. Actress Karen McCartney facilitates Shakespeare’s Signposts: An Acting Workshop in Newbridge Town Hall at 7pm. Things We Carry: Expressions of Black-Irish Identity is a spoken word event with Fiyin Oluokun, Samuel Yakura, Ola Majekodunmi and Sekera Mohamed Besta at 8pm. All events are free to attend but must be booked in advance!

In DANCE Ireland’s national dance company luail bring REVERB (24 September), a powerful collaboration between choreographer Sarah Golding and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Canny, to the stage. International circus and dance group Kundle Cru fuse breakdancing, juggling, Chinese pole and contemporary dance to create the high-energy, highly physical show Blame Game (17 October). Witness the passionate drive of the GAA fused with dance, disco and comedy in HAM SANDWICHES AND DISCIPLINE (29 October).

We have lots of MUSIC this season including an album tribute band who make their first appearance on our stage – Play Performs Talking Heads ‘Stop Making Sense’ (20 September); one of Ireland’s most distinctive songwriters Niamh Regan (4 October) presents an intimate evening of music; Join Inni-K and her band for Still A Day Album Launch Live (30 October). Two of Ireland’s most captivating contemporary folk artists Caoimhín O’Raghallaigh and Seán Mac Erlaine (7 November) come to Riverbank as they release their new duo album Jeu de Plomb; and one of Ireland’s best-respected contemporary folk artists, and a Newbridge man, Luka Bloom (20 December) is our last live event of 2025!

Our THEATRE events include LemonSoap’s Boyfriends (1 November), which charts the ups and downs and roundabouts of a modern situationship. Set in 1850, Belfast Girls (5 & 6 November) tells the story of five fierce young women who face their dark pasts on a ship bound for Australia, as they leave Belfast in search of a better life. Experience the magic of Daniel O’Donnell live in concert… almost, with An Evening with Wee Daniel (20 November).
