August Opening Hours & Upcoming Autumn/Winter Highlights!

It’s that time of year, we come to wind down our Spring/Summer programme and get the venue ready for an exciting Autumn/Winter programme.

With that in mind our Box Office hours is as follows:

We are delighted to confirm that our BROCHURE will be back in September and jam packed with events! Make sure to pick up your copy from the Box Office in early September.

In the meantime, here are a few highlights of upcoming events for Autumn/Winter!

THEATRE
Arán & Im Manchán Magan
Saturday 10 September, 2pm & 7pm
Tickets €15
Arán & Im is a theatrical performance in which Manchán Magan bakes
sourdough bread while offering insights into the wonders of the Irish
language – exploring potent words of landscape, terms of intuition and
insight, and the many phrases that bring to life the mysterious glory of our
natural world. The show is a celebration of language, land and local Irish
food.

 

MUSIC
Ye Vagabonds
Wednesday 26 October, 8pm

Brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn grew up playing music together around their hometown of Carlow, a small town in the southeast of Ireland. After moving to Dublin in 2012, they quickly became a staple of the live music and session scene in Ireland, playing their own original songs as well as folk songs from Ireland, Scotland, England and America.

 

DANCE THEATRE – OFFSITE

PORTARLINGTON COMMUNITY CENTRE
MÁM is a meeting place between soloist and ensemble, classical and traditional, the local and universal. It brings together the virtuoso, Irish traditional concertina player Cormac Begley, the European classical, contemporary collective, s t a r g a z e, a young girl and twelve international dancers from the Teaċ Daṁsa company. NOMAD and NASC touring network/ Arts Council Open Call Award.
