Opowiadania Super Paua – Listen to the stories!

Super Paua, a theatre company creating socially-focused shows for young people and communities, presents Opowiadania Super Paua, a series of audio stories for young people (aged 6-12 years)  written in Polish or about Polish culture and experiences. These stories are now available to download for FREE from Super Paua Stories (podbean.com)

Seven brand new stories have been commissioned by writers Edyta Dolan, Alison Martin, Cathal McCabe, Pete McCluskey, Ignacy Rybarczyk, Izabela Sawicka/ Urszula Sawicka-Gamarra, and Anna Weglarczyk. The series explores a range of stories from the mystery of a vanished ice cream vendor to an international football adventure, with characters including several dogs, politically active pixies, a fun-loving fox and a doomed snowman.

On Thursday 24 June an online event co-hosted by Super Paua, Riverbank Arts Centre and axis:ballymun will celebrate the launch of the series. Audiences will have an exclusive opportunity to hear clips from the stories prior to public release, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with key members of the creative team as well as Polish individuals from the arts scene in Ireland. (event in English – with Polish translation available)

On Saturday 26 June there will be an online workshop event for  children aged 7-12 and their families, to listen to a story in full and engage in a creative task. (Bilingual event – Polish/English) 


Production of the stories has been co-produced by Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, Kildare, and axis:ballymun. Opowiadania Super Paua is funded by Arts Council Ireland
