In a snow-swept France in the 1970s, Jeanne, a 15-year-old orphan, runs away from her home in an isolated orphanage with no explanation.
One night, she takes shelter in a building that turns out to be a film set where they are shooting an adaptation of the fairy tale The Snow Queen
Pretending to be an extra, Jeanne falls under the spell of its star, the beautiful and enigmatic Cristina, who is playing the snow queen and whose volatility dominates everyone around her.

As a mutual fascination grows between the girl and the actress, their connection deepens into a dangerous obsession.

Led by a captivating performance from Marion Cotillard as Cristina, this is a dark and mesmerising modern fairy tale.
