You’re invited to the picnic!

Welcome to the Comic Picnic is a colourful and playful comic exhibition serving up a feast of fun. This exhibition invites you to sprawl out on a picnic blanket and enjoy the world of comics created by artist Kate Escolin. From cute characters to sun-soaked comic panels, this exhibition is a celebration of comics, creativity, and the simple pleasure of sharing a good laugh. There is something delightful for everyone at the Comic Picnic.

About the Artist:
Kate Escolin is a Filipino Illustrator, Arts Facilitator, Comic Artist and Co-Founder of Beag Animations, based in Ireland. Her visual work consists of bright and playful imagery that embody themes of optimism, inclusivity and tenderness. Her practice focuses on digital illustration, design, comics and animation. Along with her visual work, she teaches workshops with a focus on comic and zine making, for all ages around Ireland. A large part of her practice focuses on fostering community. She is the host of Sketchbook Club, a free monthly meet-up that encourages analog art exploration and community building, at Little Deer Comics, Riverbank Arts Centre and Richmond Barracks. She is also a committee member of the Dublin Comic Arts Festival.
