A local art exhibition curated by Eilis Kavanagh

Tapestry of Kildare explores the many wonders and history of Kildare. This is a collection of work by an array of talented Kildare-connected artists. Each artist has reflected on what is special to them by committing to canvas the personal places and objects of interest within their county that inspire them; thereby demonstrating the spirit and many shades of Kildare.

The PopUpArt Newbridge initiative is the brainchild of Newbridge based landscape artist Eilis Kavanagh and has grown considerably since its inception in 2018.

The objective of PopUpArt Newbridge is to provide Kildare connected artists with the opportunity to showcase their work to a wider audience, by sourcing and providing exhibition spaces for the growing wealth of local artists of all levels and genres.

Since its inception in 2018, over 300 emerging and professional ‘Kildare Connected Artists’ have had the opportunity to exhibit their work with PopUpArt Newbridge. Building on the success of four well received annual exhibitions, together with the Virtual Gallery www.popupartnewbridge.com, they are delighted to exhibit in Riverbank Arts Centre.

Official opening: Friday 11 July, 6pm – all welcome.
