This workshop combines the craft of classic “hand drawn” animating with modern technology. Participants work individually on concept art, plot structure and animating to create their very own unique short films which will then be collated and shared via Vimeo or YouTube. The course is primarily a practical one, with a very brief introduction to some animation theory in order to provide background and context.

Students work on designated apps to create and edit their animations and we supply iPads for their use. Alternatively they can draw with paper, pens and pencils and their work can be photographed or scanned during the workshop

The ability to draw is not a pre requisite and all levels are welcome.
