Find out about some of Ireland’s most remarkable women in this fascinating event. Designed to inspire young girls and boys to reach for the stars, it tells the tale of some of Ireland’s most iconic women.
From ground-breaking 19th doctor, Dr James Barry (aka Margaret Ann Bulkley), to astrophysicist, Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, President of Ireland, Mary Robinson, and Kildare-born scientist, Dame Kathleen Lonsdale, each woman is brought dramatically to life with pictures and stories.
Sarah Webb’s book which features these women and many others from history, Blazing a Trail: Irish Women Who Changed the World (illustrated by Lauren O’Neill) won the An Post Irish Book Awards Senior Category in 2018.
