To tie in with the Halloween theme, Michael Fortune is holding this family workshop in the ancient Halloween tradition of turnip carving. In recent decades the practice has been replaced in Ireland by the American practice of using pumpkins. The tradition was carried out in his grandmother’s home up until the mid-1980's in which crude faces were carved out of the seasonal Irish vegetable. For this workshop he will deliver a series of workshops with adults and children where everyone who attends will produce their own scary face. Materials and carving equipment will be provided. 

Suitable for 7-12yrs - accompanied by parent or adult over 18 years old.
