Making It 3-D
Novelist and short-story writer Sheena Wilkinson’s lively, interactive workshop will help young writers create characters and situations which leap from the page to become the heart of believable narratives.
Whether you write about people or animals, vampires or aliens, characters whom readers can care about are at the centre of all the best stories. Through a series of collaborative tasks and individual exercises, we will focus on killing off any tendency towards clichéd, two-dimensional characters. We’ll be making strong, believable, 3-D characters, and building narratives around them.
This workshop is suitable for writers of all levels, from 11+: enthusiasm and imagination are all that’s needed.
Wilkinson is an experienced workshop facilitator who loves engaging with readers and writers second only to writing itself.
**Sheena has just won two Bisto Children's book Awards- the Bisto Honour Award for Writing and The Children's Choice Award. She is the second author to receive the Children's Choice award, the first going to Chalkline author, Jane Mitchell.**
Don't miss your chance to take part in this workshop with a fabulous award winning author!
