The Fall of the Leaf
Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm
Sat 10am-1pm
For this exhibition Michael Fortune will present a series of video and photography work made with his family, which centre on the tradition of Halloween, family ritual and the decoration of their home. Every year the artists’ mother dresses up with anything that will disguise her identity, and calls to his now 99-year-old granny’s house, which is next door. Michael has been documenting this ritual, which has existed in the coastal area of Wexford since pre-Norman times, for the last 6 years and the 2011 film will be added to the show.
Come along and see how the exhibition changes and maybe get some ideas on how you might dress up this year for Halloween.
