Myths
Mon-Fri: 10am to 5.30pm
Saturday 10am to 1pm
Come along to this interactive exhibition created by Roisin Coyle, which is loosely based on stories recorded as part of the 1938 Irish Folklore Commission. During this time, children were instructed to record any stories, superstitions and beliefs told to them by older relatives or family members. The work is a mix of miniature interactive theatre style boxes and framed prints. By interacting and looking at these miniature creations the artist is inviting you to step in to another microcosmic world.
Roisin Coyle is an artist working in the medium of drawing, print, animation and installation. She has had numerous solo and group shows exhibiting nationally and internationally. Roisin also works as an illustrator and was the Baboro Children’s Festival artist in 2006. She has facilitated children’s art workshops all over Ireland.
