For this exhibition Julia Pallone is displaying drawing and paper installations, which explore the boundaries between sleep and wakefulness. Her interest lies in the possible occurrences of metamorphosis, in the surging up of the fantastic in everyday life, not as an intrusion into the real world, but as an inherent part of it, as a latent state.
Julia Pallone is a visual artist working with a variety of media, ranging from drawing, photography and installations through which she explores a poetic vision of the world, fragile and vulnerable. She has exhibited extensively in Europe and has been awarded several art residencies and bursaries awards. She is currently working as an Artist Facilitator for the Arts for Health program/West Cork Art Centre, and teaches art at various levels and age groups.
