Riverbank Arts Centre is delighted to showcase the contemporary works of three craft makers as part of the Craft Council of Ireland’s designated year of craft.

A shared passion for the environment led three artists to collaborate for this show.

Michele Hannan’s ceramic sculptures and flowing vessels draw their inspiration from the simple forms found in nature and the abstracted rhythmical patterns created by the sea. Micheles work is decorated combining glass and volcanic glazes.

Eva Kelly’s fused glass wall pieces are a further development of her ‘Rockpool’ series of plates.  Inspired by the rock formations around the west coast of Ireland Eva translates her ideas into three dimentional sculptures using fusing, slumping and multible firings . She adds various metals and glass oxides to give her work greater depth and colour.

Dara O’Neill is a textile artist . Her paintings on silk reflect the changing light in nature.  Her work exudes a sense of calmness with her choice of colours.
