Storytelling, traditional glove puppetry and life sized puppets, Dog and String Theatre’s Tales from the Forest is inspired by two stories from the book Tales of Wisdom and Wonder by Hugh Lupton and Niamh Sharkey.
Azal the artist introduces the audience to the landscape of the forest and, together with the help of our imaginations, we are taken on journey into a wooded environment.
Greed is the central theme that unites these stories. Fish in the Forest addresses the issue with humour and cunning, whereas the story of the blind man and the hunter touches on some more profound lessons that children can learn.
This show is suitable for children aged 4 –8 and their parents.
