Monasterevin Gospel Choir was formed almost two years ago following a request from their Parish Priest V.Rev. Liam Merrigan. Since then it has quickly grown to over 50 members of all ages and backgrounds.
Their very first performance took place in St. Paul’s Church Monasterevin with renowned Irish tenor, Finbar Wright. The choir made such an impression on Finbar that he invited them to sing with him at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. They have since performed with singers such as Rebecca Storm, and regularly perform at various churches in Kildare.
In addition to their gospel music, an evening of song with Monasterevin Gospel Choir will include a medley of songs from well known musicals and a range of popular hits.
