'Chekhov wasn't all doom and gloom... European Arts Company’s production of Chekhov Shorts is fast-paced, witty and engaging' - The Stage
‘European Arts Company really takes the audience by storm, a surreal performance, witty and hilarious, full of energy, talent and creativity.’ – Culture Guide
European Arts Company presents a hugely entertaining collection of classic one-act farces by Anton Chekhov. Including ‘The Evils of Tobacco’, ‘The Dimwit’, ‘The Bear’, Swan Song’ and ‘The Proposal’, this is Chekhov at his comic best, before Uncle Vanya started shooting, The Seagull got stuffed, The Cherry Orchard was ‘car-parked’ and The Three Sisters started moaning!
Chekhov is the second most popular playwright in the world after Shakespeare and a big influence on Irish writers as diverse as Brian Friel, Frank McGuinness and William Trevor.
This show has toured all over the UK and continental Europe to great success and is being seen in Ireland for the very first time. Catch it while you can!
